Parables – TWL – S5E1 2.18.25
What Are Parables? 🤔 The word parable comes from the Greek parabole, meaning “to place beside”—a story placed next to a spiritual truth. 📖 Jesus used everyday situations—a farmer sowing seed, a lost son, a dishonest judge—to reveal deep truths about God’s Kingdom. And here’s the genius of it: the stories made people think. Even the disciples asked: “Why do you speak to the people in parables?” (Matthew 13:10) Because Jesus didn’t force belief—He planted seeds. 🌱 The Power of…

The Twelve – TWL – S4E11
What Can We Learn from Judas? Judas wasn’t always a villain—he started out just like the other disciples. But along the way, his love for money became greater than his love for Jesus. 💡 Here’s the lesson: We shouldn’t blindly trust men, no matter how reliable they seem. People fail, but God never does. He is the best ever. 🙌 That’s a truth worth believing, and this is Truth Worth Living! 📢 If this post spoke to you, like and…

Thomas: More Than a Doubter | Truth Worth Living S4E9
We call him Doubting Thomas, but is that fair? Pastor Chris looks past John 20 to two other moments in Scripture, including the raising of Lazarus, that show a much braver side of the disciple. Shall We Keep Sinning So Grace Can Grow? | The Conquerors Pt 4
The only conquests that last are the ones over ourselves. Pastor Chris continues The Conquerors in Romans 6, where Paul asks a startling question: "Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?" (Romans 6:1, NIV). Paul's answer shows how we overcome sin habits and walk in holiness by cooperating with God's grace. The Twelve – TWL – S4E8
Welcome back to Truth Worth Living, where we seek to understand God’s Word so we can live in God’s will. Today, we take a look at Matthew, also known as Levi. If you’re a fan of The Chosen, you might know Matthew as the quirky, neurotic, and OCD disciple who struggles with being ostracized due to his past. While this creative depiction captures some relational tension, the truth is that scripture tells us very little about Matthew as a person.…
